What a great experience! Did you notice that people from Great Britain and Australia speak differently than people from the United States? Sometimes I have trouble with what they are saying because they use words differently than we do. It isn't enough to learn to speak English, you have to know the differences between the English that is spoken in different parts of the world!

This is the first time I visited your blog. I think your students are near the same age as mine. My kids are 12-14 and are eager to hear from others and make new friends. We would like to know more about your school and students and what it is like in your country. Maybe you could email me.

It was really a great experience!
I've never heard Australians but I can say that both Americans and Englishmen speak so emotionally. We study the language by listening to the CDs and cassets and sometimes the pronounciation is not good.
I wish we had more speaking practice with native speakers.

Please tell your students that my students haven't had the opportunity to respond to their questions about the books they read. Unfortunately, my 12-13 year old students don't do a lot of reading because they don't have the time in class to read that the younger students have.

Most of our students read series books. I think they find comfort in being familiar with the characters.

As for our 12-....year students they also have no time in class. They read after school at home in the evening.Students should read a lot of books for the Literature (by program) Nowdays more and more students prefer TV or video to books though there are children that like reading.
