What are the autumn festivals that you have in Russia? What in particular are you celebrating? We have to apologise for all the questions but we have not found another blog page in Russia anywhere! This is the first one that our class has found!

You shouldn't apologise for the questions. We will answer all your questions.
There is a tradition to celebrate the havest at the end of autumn. We have parties at schools for young students and Autumn ball for older students. There is an exhibition of children's crafts. There a lot of contests and games. Moreover it the first festival of the school year.
Do you have some festivals like this one?

No not really. We are an inner city school and the students are mainly Pacific Island and Maori. They have some Christian Church festivals (traditional). We don't have a harvest festival but it sounds interesting. Is it the harvest of a particular crop or just a general harvest?

I know many cultures have a fall harvest festival. Our festival has merged with our celebration of Thanksgiving (a celebration the Pilgrims held with Native Americans).

I love this blog. If you have any questions about the United States, my students and I would love to help.
