Kia ora Mrs Tarasevich and students,
We are happy to see that you are back at school. The video is very interesting. We wonder how do you use the wishing basket?
We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures we drew to go with your stories. It was fun to read your stories and to create pictures to go with them.
We look forward to working with you again this year.

Hi friends,
Our first days were great and the weather too (+ 34 C)
The idea of the wishing basket was - the first graders( new students that come to school after the kindegarten) put their paper toys into the basket that means "Goodbye Childhood" and they guessed at the future (dream about smth, wish for smth)
The basket went into the sky with their dreams.

I loved the way that you put a caption with each of the pictures, as a teacher I am always interested in learning new things and ideas and I had no ideas about some of the traditions. I think rolling out of the Red Carpet for visitors and reading poems from new students would be my favourite things that I found the most interesting.
