Your country is beautiful! It makes me want to travel. I haven't been many places in my life yet, I think I'd have to dedicate a part of it just to visit distant places.

How great to find a blog from Russia. We are in winter now. We'd love to start a dialogue with you!

I want to commend everyone who created and contributed to this blog. I am a 56 year old man, living near San Francisco in the U.S. I recently had a brief contact with someone who told me that they were from Aban and so I became curious about it. When I searched the internet, I could find some boring information like location, climate and population. But yours was the only site I could find that had any information about the local people and their culture. It is wonderful to be able to see it through the eyes of the people who actually live, work and play there. Thank you all for giving everyone across the world the opportunity to learn about a place that would otherwise have been just a name on a map.

In 2003, my wife and I adopted three sibling children who originally were from Aban. Since that time, I have been searching the web for sites with photos and information on Aban to provide for my children when they are old enough. Thanks.

If you can also post additional photos of the settlement and the surrounding countryside, I would greatly appreciate the effort.
