We skyped with some classes from different countries. My students learned much from their peers about school, hobbies and some cultural traditions. The USA, Indonesia, Nepal.

School Ball.

There is a five year tradition in our school - a ball for high school students. We like it very much! Students learn about good manners, study traditional dances and prepare ball dresses. Great event, isn't it?

How we spent summer holidays

 Some students took part in summer school programs.

Some students were caring about plants in the school yard.

This is an annual regional award ceremony for excellent progress at school. There are four students from my class here!

 

The start of a new school year

Traditionally we start a new school year on 1 September with official meeting, flowers and good mood.

Every year on the 25th of January there is a festival in our school. Students, teachers, parents play the guitar and sing songs. The festival is devoted to the birthday of Vladimir Visotskiy, Robert Birns. The day is also known as Tatyana's day or students' day in Russia.

Every term brain - ring games take place in our school. 
Last time the topic was Chemistry and Biology.

During our winter holidays lots of cards and presents have come to our school from our friends from around the world. The students were very happy to open the envelopes.

Every year there is a show of handmade costumes in our school. It is very popular event in our school.

The parcel from Brainwaves.

At last we got the parcel from our friends Brainwaves and their teacher Mr.Geenberg. There were students Cristmas cards with best wishes to us. And there was a book! "The invention of Hugo Cabret".

Students are very excited to have the book.They liked the pictures in it.There are lots of them in the book! We are going to read the book one chapter a lesson.

Russian Orthodox believers take a dip into chilly water of the lake Sacred to celebrate Epiphany on January 19, 2012 commemorating the baptism of Jesus Christ.
This is a student from the 4th class of our school. He is very brave because it was - 41 C.

Friendship with Trinidad

At the end of December we had our first conference with Mr.Rogers from Trinidad and Tobago.
We showed and told about different Russan traditional things like samovar, wooden spoons, brownie and so on.
He told us about his country, symbols, festivals.
It was our first conference.We are going to have skype conferences with all Carribean countries.

Some of the students are boring during the long winter holidays.
So we have some enjoyable English lessons.
We played, read, wrote and even skyped with Mr.Rogers from Trinidad and Tobaco.
Students told him about their favourite toys and asked about his favourite things.
We had great time together!
